Woodstock Windows 7 Theme

Windows 7 is apparently everything that Windows Vista was supposed to be: faster, compatible with our existing hardware and software, and easier to use.  One feature that’s gaining attention again is Windows Themes: backgrounds, icons, colors and fonts that give your Windows Desktop a unique look and feel.

For all you Woodstock fans, Markus-Deviant has created a new Woodstock Theme for Windows 7.  As he says, “hope you enjoy the summer of 69.”  I know I sure did… I was only 5 at the time.

“Save Target As” in Firefox

People accustomed to using the Internet Explorer web browser may find that one of their favorite features seems to be missing in Firefox: “Save Target As.”

While browsing, if you come across a web link to a file such as a Word document, PDF or executable, in Internet Explorer you can download the file to disk without having to open it in your browser.  To do this, you right-click on the link, then select “Save Target As” from the popup menu.  But that function seems to be missing in Firefox.
